Read Codes

The Read

Codes function allows the Tool to read the diagnostic trouble codes

(DTCs) from the vehicle’s control modules. DTCs are used to help determine

the cause of a problem or problems with a vehicle. The anti-lock brake control

module reports DTCs pertaining to the brake system.

Read Code

s can be done with the key on engine off (KOEO) or with the key

on engine running (KOER).

✓ If no DTCs are present, a message stating Pass: No Codes Found is dis-

played.

✓ To access the Diagnostic Menu, select Vehicle Diagnostics from the

Main Menu and select a vehicle.
